Determined, creative, fashionable and expressive are just a few words to describe up coming fashion photographer and model Osha Waiters. She is a native to New York City with an eye for fashion photography shooting several of her own self portraits round the city. Osha not only shoots fashion and portrait photography, she takes on the role of the model in her photographs.
I have always been passionate about the arts, from drawing and painting at an early age. i love music, art, traveling, real estate and interior decorating. My interest in photography began after my mother gave me a Polaroid camera when I was seven. During high school I took photography seriously after getting accepted to take some photography courses at the International Center of Photography. I learned how to use film cameras, develop and print photographs. I loved it so much that I decided to study photography in college. – Says Osha Waiters
Osha attended Fashion Institute of Technology and studied photography because she loved it so much. After graduating in May 2015 with her bachelors she started modeling full-time. She actually wanted to be a model way earlier but didn’t pursue it because she thought she had to be thin. She recently got signed in the UK to Bridge Models and now looking to sign with an agency in NYC.
The best job I had so far was being a retoucher for a celebrity photographer. Right now I currently freelance and shoot fashion, editorials, and help other models get their portfolios started. I also shoot video and do video editing. I love my curves because I have always been this way and learned to accept it. The only thing that frustrated me was that I used to hate shopping growing up because nothing really fit right. But now I’m happy clothing companies are catering to women with curves. – Says Osha Waiters
