If you’re looking for the hottest hair trends this season, your search stops here. Celebrity hair stylist Shedelle Holmes gives Curvy Magazine readers the tips and tricks you need to achieve the sleek and voluminous styles you’ve seen on the runway!

High Volume

Get the look: Shampoo and condition your hair. Avoid using conditioner at the roots, this can weigh down your hair. Comb or brush through your hair to detangle. Use a volumizing spray at your roots and a volumizing mouse on the rest of your hair. Flip your head over and pre-dry. This helps to achieve added volume at the root. Once hair is 95% dry, you can either set you hair with hot rollers or curl your hair with a 1 1/2 inch iron and set each section on velcro rollers. (Feel free to add clip in extensions for added length or volume) Let your hair cool. Remover rollers, flip your hair over once again and spray your hair with a holding spray. Flip it back, find your part, and you’re good to go!

Sleek and Shine

Get the look: This style has the option to be worn either dry or wet. If you’re on the go, brush hair back and use a styling pomade that gives you flexible hold and shine. Secure your ponytail with an elastic hair bungee. Depending on the length of your hair and color, wrap a small clear, black or brown rubber band around your ponytail about 2-3 inches from the top. Tuck just this section under the bungee and secure with hair pins. Take the remaining length of your ponytail and twist it until is begins to look like a coil. Wrap it around the bungee and secure with hair pins. Add hair spray.

Extreme Texture

Get the look: Use a 1/2 inch, a 1inch curling iron and styling mousse to achieve this style. Alternate between the two curling irons, adding a small amount of styling mousse to each strand you curl, until you’ve curled the entire head. Finger pick each curl to seperate and achieve more texture throughout the hair. Teasing is also and option to add volume to the root.
