Hello my Curvy travelers! I am here to bring you what I think is one of the ultimate South Beach dining experiences.  With a Tuscan feel and romantic ambience, it is perfect for a fabulous lunch after a day at the beach or that intimate dinner with that special someone.

I am of course talking about Vic & Angelos enoteca.  Located in the heart of South Beach on the world famous ocean drive, it brings a whole new vibe to the area with an authentic Italian feel. Recently opening in Miami Beach this past summer, they have really become an iconic hot spot hosting private parties for Usher and producer Rico Love among other celebrity guests at an invitation only event during Art Basel this month in Miami.

Here is a little information about the restaurant’s background:

David Manero Restaurants,

one of the leading restaurant development organizations in the country, together with mega yachting entrepreneur, John Rosatti, has announced the expansion of Vic & Angelos, the region’s most coveted Italian restaurant brand from Palm Beach, now open on Ocean Drive, Miami Beach.

The iconic Italian enoteca that first opened in Palm Beach Gardens in 2006, with a subsequent sister location opening shortly after in Delray Beach, will establish its famous authenticity in rustic Italian cuisine with South Beach residents, locals and visitors to South Florida by introducing the first authentic Coal Oven Pizza in Miami Beach.  While maintaining its traditional European flair with home-cooked signature dishes fresh from the garden to the plate, Vic & Angelos pioneers upscale fine dining at affordable prices, a culinary ethos that will go against the grain of typical gourmet restaurants that have long-established their presence in Miami Beach.

Vic & Angelos’ Corporate Chef Paul Griffin will is at the helm of the kitchen at the South Beach location, bringing the same signature menu items, unique to Vic & Angelos, that has proven notoriously popular with Palm Beach and Delray Beach patrons.  The lunch and dinner menu will also feature additional plates that are in-tune with the South Beach style of cuisine that the upscale clientele is accustomed to.  Vic & Angelos takes pride in its generations-old philosophy in Italian cuisine, encompassed by the time intensive processes with which the freshest ingredients are prepared.  This attention to detail brings out the boldest flavors within the sauces, pastas, cooked meats, poultry and fish, whereby each dish is developed with a layered approach using seasonal ingredients over time, resulting in what can be described as Le Marché Cuisine, a style of cooking adopted in specific rural regions of Italy.

What is truly amazing about Vic & Angelos is the food. They feature a truly eclectic menu featuring everything from a fabulous KOBE beef hot dog and their signature Nona’s Sunday Gravy to their renowned coal oven pizza.

The service is impeccable with their truly attentive and very personable staff.  While dining there, I took the liberty of allowing certain suggestions from our waiter and they were perfect. For starters, the Salumi and Formaggi handcrafted meat and cheese plate was fantastic as well as their Calamari Fritte. The bread served throughout the meal is phenomenal with the perfect flavors to accompany any meal. As for the main course, their NY Strip is truly iconic and cooked to perfection. I was honestly very impressed with it. The four-cheese pear tortellini with chicken is an amazing feast for the senses with an abundance of flavor.  Their desserts are truly wonderful and not only delicious but and work of art in presentation.

I can truly say that this is an amazing treasure that has landed in South Beach and urge you all to check it out when visiting or if you are a local.  It will be a dining experience you will not want to forget!
