From the WTF files: Rumors has been flying that Adele‘s 3rd album would feature tracks with both Tinie Tempah and Jay-Z  but now Adele tells The Sun she wants to go a little country in the Dirty South?!  Adele has revealed it will be a  a strong country and bluegrass influence on her third album.  The singer, who has dominated the UK album chart with her second album ’21’, has also said she wants to record the album in the South of the good ole U. S. of A.  Adele will be touring the UK in the fall, but is then likely to begin work on her third album.

Speaking to The Sun, Adele spoke about her new influences:

I was exposed to a lot of country, rockabilly and bluegrass because I was touring for such a long time. The melodies and to-the-point lyrics I have found in a lot of American styles of music is definitely something I’m going be pursuing heavily from now on. I want to spend some time in Austin in Texas and Nashville, Tennessee, and learn about it.

Adele has also spoke about the joys of discovering a host of US country artists that she’s never been exposed to before, adding:

I feel like a four-year-old in a candy shop who’s discovering sweets again. Every day is amazing when it comes to discovering new artists.

Lets see if she can make it out of the south without putting Ludacris on a track….
