When life gives you lemons, You obviously give them to the queen bey. This weekend the wildly talented pop icon Beyonce shook the world with the release of her album “Lemonade”.
Beyonce dropped the visual album Saturday night on HBO. The visuals are broken down into chapters and each chapter has a title. Intuition, Denial, Anger, and reformation are just a few of the chapters or what we like to identify as “phases” to the album. Bey not only gives you lemonade but apparently she is spilling lots of tea… boiling hot tea ! Rumors were speculated that Mr. Jigga what, jigga who – Jay-Z was cheating a while back but in true Queen fashion, the rumors got shut up, shut down and disappeared into thin air.
“If this is what you truly want… I can wear her skin” – Beyonce
I don’t know about you but, I think she may have been angry and whoever “Becky with the good hair” is. The talk all over social media is trying to get to the bottom of if these lyrics are speaking about the alleged relationship between fashion designer Rachel Roy and Beyonce’s husband, Jay – Z or is this just another “plot twist” to keep fans on the edges of their seats, and keyboards.
(Pictured above) Beyonce’s outspoken younger sister Solonge Knowles with Becky… I mean Rachel Roy. Talks of lemonade bring up the drama filled elevator fight incident and throwing in that Solonge may have put the beat down on Jay regarding his relationship with Roy. As stated before Beyonce and their whole camp know how to shut people up so we may never ever know what really went down inside of that elevator but it is something to keep the tea boiling over.
Regaurdless if Beyonce is talking about her relationship with her husband, the relationship she saw between her mother and her father or entirely fictional piece portrayed by her, This album is a must have. The visual aspect of the album breaks boundaries in artist expression from a pop artist accompanied by the many different styles of music touched on the actual album. Country, Pop, Hip hop, R&b and I want to say even a little bit of folk influences. Yet again Beyonce reminds us why she is “Queen Bey” and teaches us a valuable lesson about life, love and circumstances. When life give you lemons …
