#MarilynMonroe Get’s Animated In New Comic!

TributeMonroeOne of world’s most recognized CURVY actor/model/singer Marilyn Monroe is getting a new look. Andy Warhol is known for his unique paintings of celebrities and his drawing of Monroe is nothing less than remarkable. Now she’s being featured in a the new comic by Bluewater Productions, who’ve featured celebrities in their comics, such as Julia Childs and RuPaul. The writer, Dina Gachman, said this about the project!

Before writing this book I just knew the basic perception of Marilyn Monroe: Sexy, bombshell, tragic life, and a legend. I read and watched everything I could on her, and the deeper I got into the research the more I came to understand what an intelligent and complex woman she was. I fell in love with her, and also realized that she desperately wanted to be taken seriously. The book is fun and lighthearted, but it’s also an attempt to peel back the basic perception and see past the fantasy.

Yes, Marilyn was, and still is, loved by millions. The “Tribute” line of comic books tells the stories of the classic entertainers that have passed on,” says Bluewater publisher, Darren G. Davis. “It is a way for us to honor these people who have made a difference in the world”. Previous celebs that have been featured in the “Tribute” line include Elizabeth Taylor, Frank Capra, Michael Jackson and James Dean.

You can check out the comic debuting May 1st, 2013 on iTunes, Nook and Amazon for only $1.99!
