The New Year is an ideal time to revamp your wardrobe and change your overall
appearance. A full makeover can be costly, but if purchases for your transformation are
strategically made, your new purse and wallet won’t feel the effects of changes you’ve
made to your appearance.
Sales abound at mostly every retailer this time of year—so steer clear of the next season’s
clothing line in the store window and make a beeline to the sale rack in the rear of the
store. With a little patience and perseverance, you’ll find that there is still plenty of time
to purchase and wear clothing for the current season found on the sale rack. From trend
finds to more classic gear, this is the best time of year to stock up on discounted boots,
coats, sweaters, handbags and sleepwear.
Instead of heading to a trendy make-u counter at a major retailer or specialty beauty store,
plan a trip to a national pharmacy chain to expand your make-up supply. Pharmacies such
as CVS and Duane Reade feature a range of price points for makeup brands, including
familiar makeup lines from Europe and the U.S. These establishments also routinely
reward customers with coupon discounts for repeat purchases. This bodes well for
fashion makeovers on a revamped budget at the start of the New Year.
