A native New Jerseyan, CIA trained chef Rory Schepisi is the season three runner-up of The Next Food Network Star, and has appeared as the guest chef on TLC’s Homemade Simple and the Rachael Ray Show. Rory holds the title of the Texas Restaurant Association’s “Best Chef of the West” in 2008 and 2009, and her famous ribs landed on the cover of Bon Appétit magazine. Traveling around the United States as a celebrity chef/guest speaker, Rory shares her vast knowledge of food, different cultures and cuisine with her fans and food enthusiasts. Currently, Rory is working on her first cookbook, The Southern Yankee and running her highly successful Boot Hill restaurant in Vega, Texas. And now, Rory could not be more thrilled to be the Resident Chef of Curvy Magazine, where she can continue to teach her craft and spread her infectious passion for incredibly prepared food.
