New Amy Winehouse Movie Coming?

Looks like all the fans of the late and great Amy Winehouse can get to view their most beloved singer on the big screen soon. A new documentary film is being made by worldly praised British director Asif Kapadia. If his name doesn’t ring a bell, Asif is known for his remarkable 2010 film “Senna” which landed him a BAFTA Award (British Oscars). The film documented the the life of race car driver Ayrton Senna, who’s life was cut short in a tragic car crash in the 1994 Gran Marino Gran Prix.

“Amy was a once-in-a-generation talent,” said Asif Kapadia alongside film producer James Gay-Rees in a previous interview. “She wrote and sung from the heart.” That she sure did. Songs that moved and touched enough hearts, that it landed her with 2 multiplatinum studio albums and 5 Grammy Awards!

“Everyone fell under her spell. But tragically, Amy seemed to fall apart under the relentless media attention, her troubled relationships, her global success and precarious lifestyle,”

Gone but never forgotten. We’re sure he got permission from Papa Mitch Winehouse to do the project unlike a certain you know who….
