Jazzlyn’s Closet – Mint, Coral and Floral All Over! #CurvyStyle

Mint, Coral and Floral all over !

Feeling: Flirty ;P Listening to: 3LAU HAUS #16

Hello to all my fellow curvy fashonistas ! I am here today to create a public service announcement … Eh ehmm (Clears Throat) You do not, I repeat DO NOT have to have a flat tummy to wear high waist, figure hugging skirts. I am all of a size 18 and wanted to participate in the high waist trend that’s hot right now but was not sure as to how I would approach it to keep it cute and classy. What I learned on my quest to join the teenie weenie high waist skirt crew is that the right clothing accents can camouflage or take attention away from your tummy, YAY ! The way I went about feeling more comfortable wearing this mini was to pair it with a cute light washed denim vest. You are still getting the aesthetics of wearing this cute little skirt but at the same time you have this magical cape or demin vest (same thing lol) to give your personal comfort level a little confidence boost. The temperature is a rising and so are those hem lines. So go on ladies, be free, wear your mini skirts with pride  🙂

The ensemble:
The bottoms are a peach floral bodycon  skirt from Forever 21  when I purchased this print I was lucky enough to find it as part of a 2 for $12.00 sale but typically they retail for $10.00 each.

The top is a baby mint green tank top which is also from Forever 21 as a part of their “Basics” collection and for a cool $5.80 it is a must have to keep cool and cute during these warm summer months.

The was purchased at Macy’s inside of Fashion Show Mall here in Las Vegas during a clearance (You know I love clearances), It comes from the Macy’s brand American Rag and I spent about $20.00 on my new trusty sidekick.

And underneath it all I am wearing a Cami Shaper ribbed camisole tank top, to smooth everything out  🙂 camishaper

  1. The bulk of the pics in this mag should be of curvy women rockin’ the latest styles adapted to and for their curvy shape, not hot skinnies. We know what high fashion looks like on hot skinnies, but we do not know what high fashion trends look like on curvies. Keep up the good work. BYW a good example is the trending boots section. Show curvy girls with their legs in hot new looks in boots. We like trends too but sometimes we need direction on what boot stretches, runs small, runs large, ect. Gotta do the homework, gotta put the time in ladies.
