I have decided that I am going to go on a natural hair care journey. I have been natural for 2 years in May (but I have BC 3 times to date). I am always searching for products that work best or better for my hair. I have a tendency to stay cheap with my products because I have so many but late last year and 2014 I am going for quality over quantity. So when I found this wonderful, local company (they are in Oakland, CA) on Etsy, I was gracious that they allowed me to review their products.
Beija-Flor Natural is a all natural company, who makes their products to order. They specialize in hair care products and skin care products. Everything is mixed and blended with love and care.
The first product that I tried was the Creme Brulee for kinks, curls, and coils. This product is listed on the site starting at $16 and it is a great compliment to whatever styling product you currently use. It is meant to be used as an everyday leave in moisturizer and when applied it can leave your hair feeling extremely soft and smelling wonderful. This is a wonderful product to have in your aresnal!
The Cocoa Mango Buttercream is a product that I used after a fresh wash and it is wonderful. I found this product to be very moisturizing on my curls and gave me great definition. I love how these products are whipped and very thick. My hair needs heavier products if the curl definition is going to last beyond the drying period and while this product couldn’t win the battle of my ridiculous shrinkage, it kept my hair from frizzing. This product is listed at $15 on the website.
I also received the Juicy Summer Fruit Oils. This is the best product that I received in my opinion. I love how light this oil it, it doesn’t weigh my hair down but it seals like magic. I have also used this oil after stepping out of the shower on damp skin and it provides a great glow to my skin. I have about a quarter of this left and I believe that I will cry when it is all gone. I don’t see this product listed on the site, so if this product is one you are interested in trying then I would definitely contact the store to see if they can mix you a blend of bottled amazing!
Lastly, is the Honey Cinnamon Detox Cleansing Bar, which is a facial cleansing bar. I have only used this once, not because I don’t like it but because I have so many skin care items to review. I found this to be wonderful for your own personal day when you want to exfoliate your skin. For the price tag of only $8, I would definitely make this a skin care staple.
Using these products were a treat for my hair and skin. I can’t wait to go to the store and visit their brick and mortar location. The communication with the owner has been wonderful and I am sure that you will be pleasantly pleased with this company!
