You may have seen these jeans worn by Sarah Jessica Parker in the second Sex and the City movie and now you can have your own pair! The makers of the junior line Z. Cavaricci are now launching a denim line for us curvy girls!
I had the pleasure of attending an exclusive presentation of the new line during a preview event co-sponsored by Re/Dress boutique and Plus Model Magazine. This new line of jeans is Z Cav and ranges from shorts to trouser jeans to jeggings. The number of washes and styles being offered are impressive for any brand, especially a new one – my favorites were the gray trouser jean and the sandblasted cuffed boyfriend jean. You will be able to purchase the jeans in sizes ranging from 14-24. Once you try on a pair, the jeans will fit you like a glove. Say goodby to the saggy bottom and droopy crotch jeans and pick up a pair of Z Cavs! The team behind this line has definitely incoporated top looks of the moment; who knew a front yoke jean could be offered in plus sizes? Even the most minute details – stitching, pockets, rivets – were crafted with great care. Through extensive research, the designers have created an impeccable line of the most fashion forward jeans I have seen in a while. ‘We launched this line because of the demand. This is what consumers want’ remarked Martin Barrack, sales director for the brand. Finally, our voices have been heard! I noticed that the line did not have a white jean and when I mentioned that, President Don Hazut was very receptive to my feedback. This company is not only in tune with the latest fashion trends, but it is clearly committed to its end customer. The junior line consists of jeans, dresses and shorts with an attitude, so hopefully we will see more of that edginess offered in curve friendly sizing! The denim line will retail for $50+ and debut at a store near you in April, just in time for spring!
