Elements of Spring: Fedoras

The weather cooperated here in Utah again this weekend, so it lightened spirits and Spring seemed to ubiquitously be put back into everyone’s step again. Smiles on faces, people outside and shopping; spending money on spring essentials! Practical details is my motto when I’m shopping/making a new purchase, and this season it’s all about details! A great raffia/straw Fedora, a flowy pastel blouse, an oversized bohemian satchel, wear-with-everything flats, and a great knit vest. Fedora’s are great; they go with everything- from weekend wear to business casual and they add an element of sophistication. This season, opt for one that’s woven, multi-tonal raffia, with an adornment or two. Vests updated any look when thrown over a blouse, tank top, or tee. As far as bags are concerned this season, opt for something oversized, textured, detailed, and/or bold and bright. Right now I’m touting an old favorite; a Cynthia Vincent suede satchel drenched in grommets; it’s durable, comfortable, and a true partner to shop with.
