Dede Allure, Couture Plus Size Fashion Designer, Hosts Intimate Runway Show at L.A.’s Style Fashion Week 2014
Women everywhere are finally embracing their curves and Dede Allure (AKA the Curvy Coco Chanel) is blazing the trail by introducing her brand-new couture collection of classic, timeless fashions at this spring’s L.A. Fashion Week.
“I was one of the very first fit models for Lane Bryant and I quickly realized that many designers just did not understand that you cannot make a straight size garment fit a curvy body simply by making it bigger.” Dede explains. ” After modeling clothes for so many years that either felt like I was wearing a box or simply did not hold up ‘the girls’, I decided to take matters into my own hands and design clothes that addressed all of the frustrations that I knew every curvy woman was dealing with!”
After studying the huge gaps in the plus size fashion industry, Dede began to fill those voids by including unique features, such as built-in undergarments, in many of her designs. Dede Allure fashions, including her signature black diamond jewelry, are manufactured to withstand the test of both time and the ever-evolving fashion industry by being manufactured with the highest standards.
“I absolutely refused to compromise on my standards.” Dede states vehemently. “I literally spent an entire year searching the globe to find manufacturers that could live up to my expectations. If a woman is going to have these clothes for 20 years, they had better last for 20 years!”
